In May, China's permanent rare earth (REE) magnet exports fell 74% y/y – hitting a five-year low of just 1,238 metric tons.
That reflects a further ~53% tumble from April, when the heavy REE controls were imposed (April 4) and associated magnet exports became subject to license approvals.
