Xi Jinping is gassing up ties between China and Turkmenistan. On March 18, Xi met with National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov in Beijing. Fun (?) fact: Berdymukhamedov was president of Turkmenistan until 2022 when he passed the title on to his son, Serdar.
