China’s price pressures may be turning a corner.
Per data released by the stats bureau (NBS) on Wednesday:
Consumer prices (CPI) fell 0.4% y/y in August, after posting no growth in July
Producer prices (PPI) fell 2.9% y/y, improving from July’s 3.6% decline
