China's staple crop production broke records again this year.
On Friday, the stats bureau (NBS) reported a staple crop output of 714.88 million metric tons – up nearly 8.4 million tons, or 1.2%, from last year.
Corn drove the gains, with output rising 7.5 million metric tons – a 2.1% y/y increase.
