US revokes chip equipment waiver for Samsung, SK Hynix

What happened: On August 29, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced it is revoking Validated End-User (VEU) status of Samsung and SK Hynix, along with an Intel subsidiary recently sold to the latter.
The status will expire 120 days from the announcement.
