TSMC’s VEU revoked, following Samsung and SK Hynix

What happened: On September 2, TSMC announced that the US government is revoking its Validated End-User (VEU) status, effective at the end of the year.

That means TSMC won't be able to ship equipment to its chip factory in Nanjing without applying for US approval each time.
