On Tuesday, the Ministry of Transport (MoT) and seven other ministries announced they intend crack down on the ride-hailing industry.
At issue: For years, ride-hailing platforms – such as Didi – have employed a massive number of drivers unlicensed to operate in the cities where they drive.
